Classes include interactive theoretical lectures, experiential workshops, personal development groups, role plays, skills groups, digital recording of skills sessions for assessment and presentations.

We expect that students attend all teaching sessions, and there is a minimum requirement of 80% attendance in order to complete the course successfully.

In Year Three there are seven days of tutor facilitated teaching and learning and nine hours of direct dissertation supervision or project mentoring.

All tutor facilitated days will take place on a Friday from 9.30am until 4.30pm.

An interview is required for this course. The interview process involves a brief demonstration of your counselling skills in role play format, two group exercises, a brief one-to-one interview and a short written submission. This will include the time for you to ask questions and to find out in detail how the programme runs. Applicants are asked to allow half a day for this process. If you are selected to attend an interview we will contact you by e-mail to make a booking. We strongly advise that you book yourself onto the earliest interview date to avoid disappointment as the numbers are limited for each date and are filled on a first come first served basis.-
