Are you fascinated by the ethical, health, and well-being implications of the rapid advancement of technology in the modern era? This postgraduate degree sets the focus on the overarching theme of well-being/positive computing. This very topical field is rapidly growing in importance with the increasing demands on highly usable self-learning and self-care IT, which aligns with the notion of subjective wellbeing (SWB) driven design approaches.

This course offers a combination of HCI-specific modules and other specialisms within the School of Informatics including algorithms, software engineering modeling, machine learning, and data mining. The range of possible combinations lets you create and develop more versatile systems, enhancing your employability in the ICT sector.

Entry Requirement 

Academic Requirements:

You should have (or be studying and expect to gain) at least a good second-class honors BSc degree in any subject. Applications are treated on an individual basis. Alternative qualifications may be considered, especially if you have relevant work experience.

English Language Requirements:

IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. If your first language is not English, you may need to provide evidence of your English language ability. If you do not yet meet our requirements, our English Language Teaching Unit (ELTU) offers a range of courses to help you to improve your English to the necessary standard.
