Course Overview

With an integrated knowledge and understanding of science and health-related issues, you will be in an excellent position to pursue a variety of careers within the health sector or pharmaceutical industries.
Recent graduates have progressed to a range of roles including Health Service Manager, Health Commission Associate, NHS Analyst, Clinical Trial Administrator, and roles in medical sales.
Clinical Sciences graduates have progressed to postgraduate study, leading to careers in medicine, the healthcare sciences, and other healthcare roles such as:
- Physician Associate
- Dentist
- Healthcare Manager

Academic Requirements:
Typical offer - 120 UCAS tariff points.

A levels
To include A-level Biology and Chemistry minimum grade B. No more than 12 points from Key Skills or any other scheme can count towards the total points.
Please note that where a science A level is taken, the University will require applicants to pass the practical element (for A levels awarded from August 2017 onwards).
BTEC Extended Diploma
Not accepted for this course. Applicants should apply for the Foundation Course in Clinical Sciences/Medicine.
Applicants on Access Programmes
122 UCAS tariff points from an Access to Medicine Diploma courses accepted from the College of West Anglia and Sussex Downs Adult College only, where 30 Level 3 credits at Distinction (including Biology and Chemistry) and 15 Level 3 credits at Merit are required.
International Baccalaureate requirements
120 UCAS tariff points to include HL Biology at grade 6 and HL Chemistry at grade 6.
Plus HL 3 or SL 4 in Maths and English Language and Literature A or English B.
Plus minimum of
GCSE English Language, Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry or Dual Award Science at grade C or 4.
Additional entry requirements
As part of the selection process, short-listed candidates are invited to a Selection day prior to making offers.
English Language Requirements:
Minimum IELTS at 6.5 (with at least 6.0 in each sub-test) or the equivalent.
