Course Overview

The flexibility of the distance learning delivery allows you to study at your own convenience with our virtual learning environment, and we provide live online sessions with tutors that help you contextualize your learning.

The course offers a wide range of modules that are contemporary, academically rigorous, and skills-oriented. You will gain core knowledge of the framework and regulatory environment of modern commerce whilst having the flexibility to tailor your degree to suit your particular interests and career aspirations by choosing from a range of specialist commercial law modules (and optional modules from the School of Management).

Whatever your choice, your studies will combine knowledge of established areas of international commercial law, for example:

  • Principles of international commercial contracts
  • The process of commercial dispute resolution
  • Principles of international trade and investment law
  • Banking and finance law
  • Intellectual property law and of emerging fields such as:
  • The dematerialisation of trade documents and paperless processing
  • Data protection and the regulation of financial technologies
  • Crypto-assets
  • Artificial intelligence in regard to their impact on trade and commerce.

Entry Requirement 

Academic Requirements:

2:2 or above in any subject, or relevant work experience at the graduate level.

English Language Requirements: 

IELTS at 6.5 or equivalent with a minimum of 5.5 in each sub-test.

If you do not meet the IELTS requirement, you can take a University of Bradford pre-sessional English course.
