Academic Requirements:

STPM / A-levels

Minimum 2 principals
(credits are required for English at SPM / O-Level)

UEC

Minimum 5 credits including English
(For English subject, a minimum of Grade B is necessary)

International Baccalaureate

A minimum score of 26/42 points from 6 subjects

National Matriculation

Minimum CGPA of 2.0
(credits are required for English at SPM / O-Level)

Australian Year 12

Pass with a minimum mark of 60%, or minimum ATAR score of 65

Canadian Pre-U

A minimum average of 60% in 6 subjects

Other qualifications deemed equivalent to STPM / A-Level by Malaysian Qualifications Agency

Minimum overall average of 60%

UCSI Foundation in Arts

Completed (minimum CGPA 2.0/4.0)
(credits are required for English at SPM / O-Level)

Diploma or equivalent

Completed (minimum CGPA 2.0/4.0)
(credits are required for English at SPM / O-Level)

Diploma in Media & Communication or equivalent

Completed (minimum CGPA 2.0/4.0)

Diploma in Psychology

Completed (minimum CGPA 2.0/4.0)

The terms of credit in English at SPM level for the candidate with STPM, STAM, Diploma, and Matriculation/Foundation qualification can be exempted if the candidate obtained English and its achievement is equivalent or higher than the required credit of English at the SPM level.

English Language Requirements:

• MUET Band 4 or,
• IELTS with a minimum score of Band 6.0 or,
• TOEFL IBT with a minimum score of 60 or, 
• Pearson Test of English (PTE) with a minimum score of 59 or, 
• Cambridge English Qualification and Tests with a minimum score of 169.

International students holding equivalent academic qualifications but who are not conducted in English, are required to sit for the English Placement Test, which may result in the taking of the English for Tertiary Education (1 to 10 months). Students who intend to pursue the above undergraduate programme directly, are advised to fulfill the above English requirements prior to commencing their studies at the University.

English Language requirement for Malaysian and International Student candidate with O Level, A-Level, Matriculation, Foundation/Foundation UCSI, or Diploma (conducted in fully in English) can be exempted from IELTS.
