Course Overview

Saint Leo University’s MBA in Social Media Marketing is centered on the rapidly evolving, data-driven business world in which we live. Through experiential learning, students gain confidence in advanced marketing data analysis tools and frameworks.

Graduates of our Social Media Marketing MBA are able to conduct traditional marketing research, as well as web and social media analytics using the latest data mining techniques. In addition, they will learn how to integrate all these findings into comprehensive marketing strategies using both the traditional and the new online tools.

The increase of businesses using social media marketing has created new ways to identify, contact, interact, and satisfy consumers. We have reached the point where we have access to huge amounts of data that were inconceivable ten years ago. This creates opportunities to gain new insights and to improve decision-making in all activities, including business. These developments have also created a demand for managers with the technological and conceptual skills to understand and apply these technologies, and to take advantage of the existing data. “Big Data” is revolutionizing science, politics, entertainment, art, sports, the environment, social life, and business.

Entry Requirement 

Admission Requirements:

All international candidates for admission must prove English language proficiency by at least one of the following:

  1. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - minimum score of 45 iBT
  2. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - minimum score of 5.0
  3. Pearson Test of English Academics (PTE A) - minimum score of 35
  4. Successful completion of ELS Level 109
  5. For transfer students, two semesters with grades of B or higher in English composition courses at regionally accredited post-secondary institutions in the United States
  6. Successful completion of a NAFSA-recognized ESL program
  7. Duolingo English Test - minimum score of 75
  8. Students who meet these requirements are eligible for admission to Saint Leo University through the Bridge Program. Undergraduate students will be required to utilize elective credits for English courses and graduate students will be required to take the foundation component of their program. Student’s English Proficiency scores will determine placement into the Bridge program.
  9. Students may be exempt from the Bridge program if English proficiency scores meet or exceeds one of the following: TOEFL 79 iBT (Minimum 19 subscores), IELTS 6.5 (Minimum 6.0 band scores), PTE A 53 (Minimum 52 band scores), ELS Level 112, or Duolingo 105.

    Saint Leo University reserves the right to require a student to take Bridge classes to increase English proficiency in a particular area, regardless of total test scores. Other English language examination results will also be considered, and experience studying in the English language, as documented through school transcripts, will be taken into consideration.
