The Management and Economics pathway at the International Study Centre will prepare you for management and economics-related degrees at the School of Management at Royal Holloway.
This International Foundation Year is split into two routes:
Management
Economics.
Choose one of the two routes. Using international businesses as examples, the course looks into more detailed study of business activity in the fields of human resource management, marketing, finance and operations, and concludes with an in-depth study of global organisations, business objectives and ethics.
You will learn about types of goods, types of economies and the problems faced by consumers and producers. The course will include an introduction to Financial Accounting and also includes supply, demand, elasticity and price controls. You will study global economies, the effects of market failures and conduct a detailed study of competitive influences.
