What you'll study?

This degree enables you to develop a fundamental understanding of the core areas of games production including the generation of game design ideas, the production of game assets, and the creation of playable games using industry-standard software and hardware technologies. You’ll develop experience of using industry-standard software, study workflow methods, and the working practices required in the creation of a games product.

The course content is focused on the exploration and development of specific software applications vital to games production that is enhanced by a student-focused investigation into industry specialists. This enables you to develop an understanding of the core areas of games production, including product development, project management, and manufacturing, alongside the personal investigation of key digital technologies such as games engines, 3D software, and animation hardware.

Entry Requirement 

Academic Requirements:

  • A-levels – BBC; or
  • BTEC Extended Diploma – DMM; or
  • 112 UCAS Tariff points from at least two A-levels or equivalent qualifications; and
  • GCSE – English and Maths Grade C / 4.
