Course Overview

ILTT currently work with two forward-thinking and innovative Teaching School Alliances (TSAs) to provide the training and knowledge you need to become an outstanding teacher which will enable you to deliver an outstanding education to children:

ILTT works with Candle by Lane TSA who has a partnership of over 50 primary schools across Nottinghamshire where you could be placed for your training year. All partnership schools are recognized for their experience in supporting trainee teachers and are quality assured by ILTT to ensure they provide you with the best possible training experience.

By choosing to work with ILTT you can specialize in either a general primary (5 – 11 years) or Primary Early Years (3 - 7 years) course.

Both courses offer you the opportunity to undertake Masters's level study, assessment, and accreditation whilst being predominantly based in the classroom. ILTT works with Nottingham Trent University to deliver your teacher training. The course includes a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) qualification and 60 Masters level credits which you could use to achieve an MA in Education after you graduate.

Learning is designed to draw upon and extend the training you receive in school. You can access materials and continually develop your understanding of practice throughout the year, not just for the days that you are at the University.
