Employability

It is anticipated that students will return to their own countries and this

Award will enable staff to make a positive impact on patient care and service innovation in their own areas of practice.

Transferable knowledge gained from an understanding of the initiatives used in the UK to improve on areas of care including health promotion, aging and complex care will provide students with the knowledge and skills to advance and contribute to evidence care in these areas.

This MSc does not give accreditation with the UK Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) and there are no practice placements attached to this course.

Teaching and learning

The programme utilizes a number of different approaches ranging from classroom-based lectures, seminars, tutorials and simulation.

A range of assessment strategies will be employed to reflect the programme across academic and clinical assessments. This includes the use of written essays, presentations and OSCEs.

Students are supported by a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) using Moodle, along with excellent library facilities onsite and a Learning Resource Centre at the Southwark campus. All face-to-face delivery will be complemented by e-learning activities.

Entry Requirement 

A first degree in Nursing at Upper Second class (2.2) or higher, or the international equivalent.

Students will also be required to have registration with the relevant professional body in their home country with a minimum of 6 months professional experience.

Students must be able to evidence proficiency in English have an IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent (with at least 5.5 in each sub-tests)
