Course Overview

Kitchen and bath designers specify cabinetry, fixtures, lighting, and mechanicals using hand drawing and computer design software. You will learn how to calculate materials needed, price quotes, and negotiate sales. Your training will prepare you with the knowledge and skills you need for drawing and computer design, along with an understanding of construction and mechanicals. You’ll also learn how to do accurate estimating and give professional presentations. Graduates are eligible to test for the Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer certification.

Entry Requirement 

An academic skills assessment is required for admission into this program or the following: High School GPA of 2.75 or higher (last 10 years) OR provide completion of associate’s or higher degree OR; 165 or higher on your 2014 series GED tests OR; ACT OR SAT OR Accuplacer OR Companion OR Compass (last 3 years) to waive to the general education level.
