Course Overview

The program is multidisciplinary, offering students maximum flexibility. The study of mathematics, for example, maybe adjusted to meet students’ academic objectives. The curriculum can meet the entrance requirements for medical or dental school. Each student must officially declare a major before entering the sixth semester. The courses in a major vary from a total of 30 credits above the introductory level to not more than 42. Dual majors are permitted providing requirements are met. Candidates for all baccalaureate degrees must complete at least 128-131 credits of course work. Certain programs require more than 128 credits for the degree. See each major for specific requirements.

Program Outcomes

Students majoring in Science develop the following skills and abilities:

  • Ability to use the scientific method and understand its strengths and weaknesses.

  • Ability to read and evaluate professional scientific literature.
  • Ability to write and communicate science.
  • Ability to utilize mathematical reasoning and quantitative skills in science.

  • Ability to successfully compete in science related fields.

Entry Requirement 

Admission Requirements:

For matriculation in the science curriculum, successful completion of secondary school courses in elementary algebra and plane geometry and a year of science and required. Candidates for the Bachelor of Science degree must complete the following courses.

Submit an application.

  1. Upload or mail your academic records from all secondary schools attended. If your transcripts, diploma, or any other academic documents are not in English, you MUST include an official English translation. Include any AP, IB, and/or GCE scores. You may be eligible for transfer credit for the following exams and qualifying scores: Metropolitan Campus AP Policy  or Florham Campus AP Policy

    IB Diploma/ Certificates: 5 or higher per Higher Level exam

    GCE A-levels: C or above per A-level exam (up to 6 credits)

  2. Submit a TOEFL, IELTS, PTE-A, or SAT score.

    – An SAT or ACT score is optional for admission but required for higher scholarship consideration.
  3. Submit (2) letters of recommendation from academic references.
  4. Submit a copy of your passport.
  5. Submit a bank statement and Affidavit of Financial Support if you are seeking an F-1 visa.
    – Bank statements must indicate a balance that will cover your first year of tuition and living expenses.
    – The Affidavit of Support must be in the name of the sponsor on your bank statement. Multiple bank statements require an affidavit from each sponsor. Self-sponsored applicants do not need an affidavit.
