Entry Requirement
Freshman Requirements:
The following admission requirements apply to students who have not completed any college-level course work after completing secondary school.
Cumulative secondary school GPA equivalent to a 2.3 on the US grading scale for most programs. The College of Engineering requires a 3.0 and the College of Education and Human Services requires a 2.5.
Proof of English proficiency.
Students who have attended a US high school or secondary school in another country that follows the US high school curriculum must submit ACT or SAT scores. These students must submit a minimum total ACT score of 16, or a minimum old total SAT score of 770 (before March 1, 2016), or a minimum new total SAT score of 880 (after March 1, 2016). Students who are applying to the Honors College and student-athletes must comply with NCAA eligibility requirements. Transfer Requirements:
Cumulative GPA of 2.0 at all previous colleges and universities combined for most programs. The College of Engineering requires a 2.2 and the College of Education and Human Services requires a 2.5.

Successful completion of CSU's IELP (Intensive English Language Program) Advanced Level, with a grade of 80% or better.
Completion of English language studies (Level 112) from any of the ELS Language Centers.
Successful completion of 30 semester credit hours of college-level coursework from an accredited college in the United States or English speaking country with a cumulative 2.0 GPA, including the equivalent of CSU’s ENG 101 and ENG 102 with a grade of C or better. Course equivalency will be determined during the application process.
