Course Overview

This is a two-year course where you will study 12 subjects (three subjects per session), worth 96 credit points. You may be eligible for up to 50% academic credit into the Master of Professional Accounting for related prior postgraduate studies. For each eight-point subject at Charles Sturt, you should expect to spend between 140–160 hours engaged in the specified learning and assessment activities. Students will be assessed on the basis of completed assignments, and examinations, including other methods as outlined in specific subject outlines. You will study a range of accounting subjects across this two-year program.

Entry Requirement 

You'll need an Australian bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent bachelor’s degree from another country, to enrol on one of our postgraduate courses.
Course Postgraduate entry requirement
Master of Animal Science Hold an AQF Level 7 bachelor’s qualification with a major in a relevant discipline^, or hold an AQF Level 8 graduate diploma qualification in a relevant discipline^. ^ Relevant disciplines include, but are not restricted to, general science, animal or veterinary sciences, agricultural science or biomedical science.
Master of Customs Administration Hold a completed Australian bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from a university or other tertiary education provider.
Master of Information Technology (with specialisations) (12 subjects) For admission to the Master of Information Technology (12 subjects) applicants must have a bachelor’s level degree.
Master of Ministry A completed Australian bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from a university or other tertiary education provider.
Master of Professional Accounting (12 subjects) For entry to the Master of Professional Accounting (12 subjects) applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution (or equivalent). The undergraduate degree must be in a field other than accounting, or not recognised by the Australian accounting professional bodies for associate membership.
Master of Sustainable Agriculture A completed bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from a university or other tertiary education provider.
Master of Theology A completed Australian bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from a university or other tertiary education provider.

Fees

If you’re applying for a postgraduate degree you will need to have an Academic minimum overall score of 6.0. More specifically you will need to have achieved a score of no less than 6.0 in the writing band and no less than 5.5 in all other bands.
