We work closely with all kinds of companies to produce collaborative and bespoke research projects and engage in knowledge transfer partnerships (KTPs) throughout the UK and beyond. All of our research feeds back into our innovative undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Entry Requirement 

Applicants are required to hold a minimum of a 2:1 Honours degree, in a discipline related to business, to be considered for a Ph.D. Some Ph.D. opportunities, such as those funded by a particular research council, may additionally require a Master's level degree.

IELTS

6.5 overall with a minimum of 6.0 in each category

If you do not meet the required IELTS score, you may be eligible for one of our pre-sessional English courses. Please note that you must have a Secure English Language Test (SELT) to study on the pre-sessional English course.

We accept a range of English language qualifications as evidence of your abilities. These qualifications are all checked by our International Centre for English to ensure they meet our requirements. 

Their syllabuses are mapped against the four components of listening, reading, writing and speaking to ensure they are comparable to CEFR level B2 in each of these components. 

For the majority of our courses, an IELTS of 6.0 overall (with no band below 5.5) is required, however, please note that some courses may require a higher IELTS score. Please check with the University if you are unsure.

Please note, some of these qualifications may have a validity of two years from the date of the test.

Full-Time fee: £13200 per year

Distance Learning: £8250 per year
